The glossary in the back is entirely in Latin, the footnotes are in Latin, the exercises at the ends of the chapters are in Latin. Good starter if you’re experienced with Indo-European language, but it can get pretty steep at the mid section, I’d suggest Wheelock’s Latin before this. I keep an edition of this method for English language. Even the grammar discussions are entirely in Latin, grammatical terminology being introduced as necessary.
Does anyone know where I could find them? It is, in fact, a much better way to learn a language than the method Duolingo uses, which is based on constantly translating back and forth between two languages.

I came to this as a former classics major who never really liked Latin because Greek was so much cooler. Other textbooks such as “Learn to read Latin” by Andrew Linguq has only about word families not including the ones introduced in the various sample texts from different classical authors. I would, however, recommend to use apps like Anki to build your own vocabulary list and to try to do so by using Latin as much as you can, just like the books do, and to put one or two example sentences from the texts in there for each word you want to practice.
