Was Dprau a school teacher before becoming a writer? There were a lot to look forward to. Also, the message never seemed pushy or preachy to me.

I think sometimes it is easy, as an adult, to say that a message is heavy-handed, but something like this can be mind-blowing to a kid who may be encountering these ideas for the first time.

Doon saves the life of one of the people in danger, while Lina is the first to rush in and help fight the fires the fighting has sparked no pun intended. Pero realmente no puedo culparlos. But food is tight, the Emberites don’t seem to know anything, and the villagers soon begin to resent having to take care of them.
